Legal Experience
Dorothy Voss Ward is a partner of Kamensky Rubinstein Hochman & Delott, LLP and has focused her practice in health care law for almost thirty years. Ms. Ward joined Kamensky Rubinstein Hochman & Delott, LLP in 1998 after practicing at several major Chicago law firms where she served as both outside general counsel and special counsel to numerous hospitals and their affiliates, nursing homes, ambulatory surgical centers and hospices.

Ms. Ward concentrates her practice in the representation of health care providers in the areas of Medicare/Medicaid fraud and abuse, third party reimbursement, mergers and acquisitions, quality management, medical staff and professional regulation, physician integration, medical education and research, contracts, tax, corporate organization matters, employment law and patient care issues. Her litigation practice includes client representation on disciplinary issues at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, on payor audits and discipline, on Medicare reimbursement, civil monetary penalties and labor matters before administrative tribunals and in federal court.

She has both taught and lectured groups of physicians, attorneys, providers and health care representatives on a variety of issues, and has been regularly published in trade publications.

Ms. Ward is the co-author of "Rationing the Use of New Medical Technologies" and "Medicare Fraud and Abuse Issues Involving Alternative Delivery Systems," published in Topics in Hospital Law.

Ms. Ward has been admitted to practice before the Illinois Bar.

Ms. Ward is a member of the Chicago and American Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Illinois Association of Health Care Attorneys.

Educational Background
Ms. Ward received her law degree from IIT, Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1981 (JD and first in class). She received her B.A. in 1971 from Elmira College and her M.S. in occupational therapy in 1973 from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
