Timothy W. Whelan

Legal Experience
Tim Whelan joined KRHD as an associate in 2006. His prior legal experience includes clerking for two civil litigation firms in Chicago, as well as clerking for the Department of Commerce in Washington DC. Tim is a member of the Firm’s litigation department and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation.

Admissions Information
Mr. Whelan has been admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Illinois and is awaiting admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Bar Association and Other Memberships
Mr. Whelan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Educational Background
Mr. Whelan received his Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2006, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Michigan State Journal of International Law. While in law school, Mr. Whelan was on the Dean’s List and received the Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Health Care Fraud. Mr. Whelan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management and Communications from the University of Michigan in 2003. While at the University of Michigan, Mr. Whelan was elected Vice President of the Student Government.
